Born and raised in upstate NY, Timothy Hwalek DO, received his BS degree in biological sciences from Cornell University, NY, graduating in 2008. Following that, he completed his medical education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, MI, where he received his DO degree in 2014. He then went on to complete his internal medicine residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, NC, in 2017. At the University of Cincinnati, OH, he completed his pulmonary and critical care fellowship in 2020. He then joined with the Dayton Respiratory Group at the completion of his fellowship training.
Currently, he is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease and is critical care board-certified. He has presented research for American Thoracic Society.
Dr Hwalek, now settled in southwest Ohio and near his wife’s hometown, looks to continue pursuing his goals of treating and serving those with pulmonary and critical care disease.
